one way or another this is going to suck
its either gonna suck for britain
or
it works out really well for them and the european union falls apart (and worse than that that smug fuck farage will be insufferable....well...even fucking more so)
or im completely wrong...guess we’ll see by the end of the year

Realistically, if the EU crumbles, how hard is it gonna be for former members to redenominate currency when the Eurozone follows suit ?

My guess is the EU is fine. Brittan goes into recession, troubles start again, but the secessionists are too dumb to engage in politics to just vote to leave, which would actually work.

The currency would be the least of their worries. I don’t seem them crumbling though, the whole Brexit process seems to have brought them closer together, and unlike the UK, they didn’t sell out their Irish to make Brexit happen. There’s going to be a lot more pressure for the UK to break up than there is for the EU (though I don’t see either happening).

The secessionists in Norn Irn are mostly old gang mem bers and kids with no prospects.

Ireland is not going to want to handle customs for duty free products coming from the mainland though. Realistically UK will have to deal with all the checks.

That is what I have seen reading up on the topic. I am thinking N.I. will get hurt economically the most by Brexit, then the rest of Great Bri
tai
n
, then Ireland; so Brexit might create more secessionists. I could see N.I. becoming its own EU country as a compromise
.

I’ve an idea as to what would wipe the perma smirk of Farage’s face but I don’t think it’s for sensitive eyes.

Official, except of course nothing is really happening for another year, and I wouldn’t be shocked to see that extended.

Ireland will only have to concern with stuff coming from Wales. In order to ensure the common market the WTO will require them to.
NI will be applying to EU rules and thus won’t require a customs check between NI and Ireland. Thus the burden goes on to the UK to check between the britain and NI.
